One of the many giant redwood stumps in California's Russian River valley, this one is inside the "AutoCamp" campground near Guernville. Overlapping the space of lost nature with the space of retro consumer tech is poignant but a little disturbing. In 2019 the area flooded.

In 2020 it is one of the sites threatened by the climate change-driven California wildfires. Our collection of "barked" trees from the area includes those in the nearby Colonel Armstrong forest where fires are burning while we write this. The forest fire image below is from photographer Beth Schlanker.

Embrace real artworks that have profound meaning. Using state-of-the-art technologies the barked prints capture the natural world in brilliant detail.
