Jim Morrison Tree, France-Segment 1

Order a limited edition, custom print of this ancient tree signed by Robert Ouellette. The 13×19 inch photograph is on high-quality, luster paper and printed using archival inks. It is an artwork meant to last a lifetime.

Located just a few metres away from the late Jim Morrison’s tomb in Paris is a lone tree (the species is not known to us). The tens of thousands of tourists visiting the grave site are damaging the tree. It was wrapped in a bamboo carapace for protection. This artificial bark is a pop culture touch point for visitors who scribble messages to Morrison. We find the connection between Morrison’s artistic legacy and the tree more than a little poignant.
